We make the world in which we live
By what we gather and what we give,
By our daily deeds and the things we say,
By what we keep or we cast away.

We make our world by the beauty we see
In a skylark's song or lilac tree,
In a butterfly's wing, in the pale moons' rise,
And the wonder that lingers in midnight skies.

We make our world by the life we lead,
By the friends we have, by the books we read,
By the pity we show in the hour of care,
By the loads we lift and the love we share.

We make our world by the goals we pursue,
By the heights we seek and the higher view,
By hopes and dreams that reach the sun
And a will to fight till the heights are won.

What is the place in which we dwell,
A hut or a palace, a heaven or hell
We gather and scatter, we take and we give,
We make our world--and there we live.
--A.G. Walton

Stop for just a moment and think a pleasant thought. Relax your mind, your body and your spirit. Find a moment of joy in the beauty of being, right here, right now. Put aside your concerns for a little bit. Experience the depth and wonder of your own existence.

Realize that in this very moment you have everything you could possibly need or want for right now. Settle your spirit into the confidence and assurance which that thought engenders.

Now you are ready for any challenge the world can throw at you. Now you are able to build on the abundance which is already yours. Now you can see your concerns not as problems but as opportunities.

You are alive. You are capable. You are worthy and able. You have at your command a powerful, undeniable force -- the strength to live, to think and to act. Every great achievement is built through thought, action and the passion of being alive. You have everything it takes. Now go forward and make your own special greatness.

We all want happiness
and dread the thought of rain.
When the sun fails to shine,
we worry and complain.

We forget that God above
is infinitely wise,
and sometimes our ails
are blessings in disguise.

For if we're always happy
filled with sunshine and cheer,
our hearts would hold no mercy
for others who've shed tears.

So when trouble comes knocking
remember to stay strong.
Rainbows always follow the storm
and dark clouds never stay long.

When you'll see you have nothing to change in your fear,
When your dreams come true through the troubles and griefs,
Then you will shine like a star,
be the best you could be

In your heart, in your life, in your dreams.
Share all your light with the entire world,
Make the people believe in love.
In that time when you will shine like a star,
You will see your path you've chosen in your life.

And no one could stop your shine.
No one could stop you again.
It's your time
Shine like a star, be the best you could be

In your heart, in your life, in your dreams.
Share all your shine with the entire world,
Make the people believe in love.
Then you'll throw away all your sadness,
Then you'll find again all your happiness.

Then you'll keep forever your kindness.
You will never be sad or brightless.
Shine like a star in the sky,
Shine like a star through the night.

Ur book "Father sleeps with the mudpies" is also inspirational, I'm reading it right now. I am at Chapter 9. It makes me very lazy because whenever I start reading it I just DO NOT want to put it down. Keep up the good work.

I'm afraid to look ahead
I don't know want to know what I will find
But lately I've been thinking
and a few things have come to mind

Where will I be tomorrow
when the sun begins to rise?
Where will I be in 20 years
when I look back and remember the time?

Life is just a passing thing
it was never meant to stay
We were all put here together
but could be taken back any day

Friends come and go
and relationships never last
But these are the good old days
the ones that will fill our past

Don't let these days slip away
you'll never get them back
you were put here to live
and you're never going to last

So when it's all said and done
and your time on earth is through
Don't look back and have regrets
Be happy with everything you do.
