 Norma
Moxam, formerly Young, lives in Frenchman's
District, Treasure Beach. She was
born in Devon Manchester, Jamaica. Her profession is teaching and is the
principal of Sandy Bank Primary School. She has three children. Her favourite
thing to do is reading. Her favourite dish is roast pork. Her favourite
colours are pastel shades. What she likes best about Treasure Beach is the
peace and quiet and the opportunity to walk freely 24 hours per day. She
came here twenty nine years ago and has seen many changes in the community.
The growth of the school is one such change and she would like to thank
the many tourists and villa owners who gave gifts for the students to work
with. She has worked with many great people to make the changes happen within
the school. The present staff is more than helpful. They are colleagues
and friends to her. Her dream is to see every child leaving Sandy Bank School
being able to read and write. She also wants to see the young people in
the community gainfully employed. She would like for all the community members
to make all tourists welcome so that they can enjoy our beautiful paradise.
Mrs. Moxam's philosophy is "I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me." |
